Dr. Carli Ruckman specializes in routine eye exams and treating many eye conditions, including ocular migraines, floaters, red-eye and dry eye. She has a deep appreciation for the gift of sight and tries to improve the vision of each patient she meets.
“I was an EMT for four years before going to optometry school, which was exciting but so fast-paced that I couldn’t have a relationship with patients. I appreciate that optometry allows time for conversation and fostering that doctor-patient relationship.”
Dr. Ruckman graduated from Washington College on the eastern shore of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She earned a second Bachelor’s Degree in Vision Sciences from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia and her Doctorate of Optometry. She received clinical honors in ocular disease management and pediatric optometry.
Dr. Ruckman has practiced optometry for the past 11 years and moved to Florida in 2011 to live closer to family. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children at local theme parks, zoos, and aquariums.
