A Clear Alternative to Glasses
If you have an active lifestyle, or just don’t enjoy wearing glasses, you may consider contact lenses as an alternative to glasses. You should consult with an optometrist during a contact lens exam to determine if contact lenses are right for you. Once you have a prescription for contact lenses, one of our licensed opticians can help you fill it and order your contacts.
Types of Contacts
There are three types of contact lenses: soft, hard and hybrid.
Soft Contact Lenses – these are very thin and moist lenses made of a gel-like material that is very comfortable and easy to wear.
Hard Contact Lenses – also known as rigid gas permeable contact lenses, these are made of a durable plastic that provide sharper vision but are less comfortable to wear.
Hybrid Contact Lenses –these are a mix between the two soft and hard contact lenses to provide the best of both worlds but are often a bit more expensive.
